Shorebirds complete

Here are the newest Shorebirds. Finally complete! It is a long process. About 3 hours in the hot sculpting and blowing process. Rick and Chris are a great team in the hot shop. I love doing the powder patterns and each time is a unique experiment. David creates the metal legs and base here in the studio and then they are off to powdercoat. We love to head to the ocean when we get the chance and are off to Hawaii Christmas week. Time to bird watch and draw. More birds planned for the new year!

Autumn Art Studios wrap up

So happy to have Hannah home from Santa Cruz for the tour. My girlfriends from Ohio also traveled a long way for the weekend just to see the tour! Of course, we had good conversation, food and wine too! Lots of help from my friends. We could never have survived without you all. The Torso demonstrations were amazing to watch. Rick has never done them in front of people before the tour since they require complete concentration. Hopefully shipping two tomorrow! Then moving forward to the Holiday Open Studio weekends. Ornaments are almost ready!

Waldorf Internship

We had two interns from Waldorf High School for one week. They were a huge help with ornaments - both hooking and grinding. They even made cups by the end of the week. It was a fun adventure for all of us!

Pele Installed

This project was larger than it looks! We are happy to say that it is installed and looks great.
