Pendant Lighting sale March 5 in the studio!

We are busy making some samples of our pendant lighting for our studio sale March 5. We have extra glass from previous custom projects that we will display at lower prices. Possibly some extra glass that would make beautiful chandeliers too.

Rainbow Weather!

Spectacular weather! Rain and sun all at the same time. Snow early this morning too. We enjoyed our day in the studio today.

playing with photos

I have a new MAC! Very exciting! However, I am a bit lost as I search through my photos. I found this project from 2010 - sage, garnet, dark topaz, gold topaz and bone.

Fun with Red Hats!

Today we had a fun group of Red Hat women visit our studio. A great place to be on this stormy winter day.

Completed grouping

We just finished a beautiful residential wall grouping in a new color combination - sage, dark topaz, coral, wheat, lagoon.

Aerial

Three new metal sculptures. The Aerial Series.

Hannah is 21!

We are usually in Philadelphia right now. We almost always miss Hannah's Birthday. I think we have been around for two of them. This Sunday she turned 21 and we went to visit her in Santa Cruz to celebrate. We enjoyed the most beautiful weather ever in a February! Family, friends and good food too. A very special memory for all of us. Back to blowing today!

Have a passionate Valentines Day! I found this wonderful carrot pairing at the Farmer's Market courtesy of Four Frog Farm.

New fixture

I'm excited to have this new Renewal Series fixture in our bathroom!

Rick and Matt together again

Matt is visiting this weekend so we are happy to have him blow with us today. I think Rick was getting a little frustrated with me, but even so, I love blowing with Rick and being married too. Go figure.

Matt is off to San Jose State

A little sad today about Matt leaving for San Jose State after 9 years with Nicholson Blown Glass. It will be a fabulous experience for him! We had a traditional farewell "pizza lunch" today with our "team" - Jean, Heather, Matt, David, Rick, Janet and Leslie. I know he'll pop in once in a while to blow glass with us!

Unbreakable!!!

Brand new testimonial for Nicholson Blown Glass...My 15 year old fishbowl fell off the desk and onto the ground with fish, rocks and water flying everywhere! Thanks to Moses, the cat. The bowl did not break. We scooped up the fish and it is all back to normal. Fish alive and happy! Amazing!

Happy New Year!

A whole week of no lists, no computer and warm weather! Time well spent with Rick's Mom, the girls and President Obama in Honolulu. Time to regroup and face 2011 head on. May this year be full of peace, happiness and good health for all.

Our last open studio weekend! Rick created another head. The goal is to keep practicing in 2011! We had amazing weather but our supporters showed up anyway. Thank you to all! See you in the new year!

Matt's goblet

We had a very special evening "good luck" party for Matt as he goes off to San Jose State to complete his degree in Art. The show of the evening was watching Matt complete this incredible goblet. We are very proud of him. He has been working with us for 9 years and hopefully, will still help out now and then. New helper? Luke LaRash.

Sculptural Head in progress!

Rick and Matt worked on a sculptural head during the Autumn Art Studios Tour. Challenging for Rick. I love to see him excited!
